Arche Porche

An ornamental archway reduced to its outline: a porch arch treated as a graphic object rather than a piece of architecture, the kind of small standing shape that registers instantly from the other side of a room. Arches carry a lot for their size. Doorway, threshold, entrance, the frame through which everything else gets seen. Made small and freestanding, the form works as a bookend at the close of a row of figures, a quiet marker on a mantelpiece, or a surround to stand some other small object inside. It prints from a single file, which makes it a straightforward piece for someone testing out a new spool or wanting a quick decorative result.
