Description
A hard-working little astromech-style droid, all drums and hatches. Printed here in bright orange resin, this is a chunky sci-fi utility droid built from a stout cylindrical drum body ringed with panel-line detailing and greebled machine banding. Two boxy sensor or tool modules swing out on stubby hinged arms at either side, each face recessed like a screen or a grille, and small nozzles and pegs poke from the upper shell. It has the busy, functional look of a repair or comms bot from a space-opera universe, an obvious kin to the classic R-series droids without being a straight copy. The file is named as a full assembly, so expect a display piece rather than a single lump: great for fan-art collectors, shelf dioramas, tabletop sci-fi skirmish games or as a companion figure beside larger models. Print notes: • Resin is the right call here; the panel lines, banding and little greebles need the fine detail an MSLA printer gives. • Support the underside and the outer faces of the side modules, then plan your orientation so seams fall along existing panel breaks. • If it prints as separate parts, dry-fit the hinged arms before gluing so you can pose them open or tucked in. • Prime grey, base in worn metal or a bold hero colour, then a brown-black wash into the recesses and a little edge chipping to make it look field-used.
