Batman Beyond Microplakit Series

Neo-Gotham's Batman is a different animal from the one in the comics: a teenager in a borrowed high-tech suit, thrown into a city that carried on without its original protector. This kit captures that late-nineties animated design, with its smooth moulded suit shell, the tight cowl and swept pointed ears, and the glider membranes that fan out from the arms when Terry steps off a rooftop. The Microplakit treatment keeps things small and collectable, a model kit rather than a single solid figurine, meant to stand in a row with other pieces instead of dominating a shelf on its own. Anyone who watched the series will recognise the silhouette immediately, and it makes a rewarding painting subject too: flat panels, strong graphic shapes and a character drawn for animation, built on bold silhouette rather than fussy ornament.
