Bebop

A hulking mutant warthog swaggering forward, chain swinging from one fist. This stylised figure is all attitude: a broad-shouldered anthropomorphic boar with a snouted, tusked grin, a bristly crest and squinting eyes, built like a street bruiser. He wears a harness of straps and pouches across a barrel chest, an armoured bracer on one forearm, and heavy laced boots; a length of chain hangs from his lowered hand. He leans into a stomping stride on a cracked, puddle-like hexagonal base. It is an unmistakable riff on the classic mutant-henchman archetype from the TMNT world. It is aimed at fan collectors and painters who love a chunky, cartoonish villain with loads of surface detail. Print notes • Resin brings out the tusks, strap buckles and chain links that FDM would blur; this sculpt has a lot of fine kit to lose. • Stand him upright and support the outstretched chain, the overhanging snout and the underside of the arms; the base gives a solid footing. • The chain is the fragile part — print carefully, and consider swapping in a real fine-gauge chain if a link fails. • Prime grey, then have fun: block the hide, drybrush the straps and metalwork, and a warm wash sinks nicely into all those creases.
