Bottom Stem Lamp

The quiet backbone of a build-your-own lamp. No figure, no flourish, this is the lower stem column of a modular lamp: a tall, gently rounded cylindrical tube, hollow the whole way through so power cable can run up its centre, with a squared notch cut into the top rim where it keys into the next section or seats a fitting. It's a purely functional structural part, the piece nobody notices but every lamp quietly depends on. Pair it with a shade and a weighted base to complete a slim, minimalist table or floor light. Print notes • Ideal for vase / spiralise mode: a single continuous wall, fast to run, and naturally hollow for the cord. • If it will sit near a bulb, driver or heat source, print in PETG rather than PLA so the stem won't soften or lean over time. • No supports needed, it's a vertical tube; just mind your seam placement and tuck it toward the back. • Print the notch end upward so the keyed slot comes out crisp, adding a couple of solid top layers only if that slot needs strength. • Push wall count to three or four perimeters for a stem that won't flex under a top-heavy shade.
