Cable Chain Link Lamp

Industrial hardware turned into a light. The form is built from interlocking chain links, the heavy anchor-chain sort rather than anything from a jeweller's tray, stacked up into a lamp. It borrows from workshop and dockside furniture, the same instinct that puts a scaffold pole under a shelf or a cargo hook on a coat rail. Lit, the gaps between the links do the work, throwing broken shadow across whatever surface the lamp stands against. Unlit it still reads as a deliberate object rather than a shade waiting for a bulb, which makes it a sensible fit for a desk, a studio corner, or a room already committed to exposed brick and metal. A single-file model, and one of the more assertive lighting shapes available to anyone thoroughly bored of drum shades.
