Description

One upright timber for a half-timbered wall — a single building block in a bigger framework. Despite the filed-away code name, what you're looking at is a length of *colombage*: the exposed structural timber of a traditional half-timbered (Tudor-style) façade. The render shows a slim, deep post in navy, its top cut with a neat angled chamfer where it would seat against a beam. On its own it's plain by design — the character comes from ganging these members together into studs, braces and rails, then infilling the panels between them to build up a storey (*étage*) of an old timber-frame house. That makes it a workhorse part for scale buildings: model-railway village scenes, tabletop fantasy or historical terrain, dollhouse and diorama façades. Print a set and you can frame windows, doors and gable ends to match your own footprint. Print notes: • Lay it flat on the largest face — it's essentially a bar, so it prints fast and support-free. • Batch several across the plate; you'll want many copies to frame a single wall. • A 0.2 mm layer height is plenty; the form is simple and reads best painted rather than high-detail. • Prime and drybrush a weathered timber tone, then wash the recesses to pop the framing against the infill panels.
