Colonnes Campanile

A cluster of slender columns crowned with flared bell capitals. The model is a batch of matching architectural columns, thin cylindrical shafts each topped by a wide conical, funnel-like cap, grouped together as they'd sit on a print plate. The name points to a campanile, a bell tower, and that's exactly what they read as: repeating pillar elements with trumpet-shaped capitals, ready to line up into a colonnade or ring a tower model. They suit architectural modellers, diorama builders, wargamers dressing a ruin or a scenic base, and anyone scratch-building a bell tower or a classical facade. Because they arrive as a set of identical parts, you can print the whole colonnade in one go and space them to fit your build. Print notes: • The shafts are tall and thin, so print them vertically for round profiles and add a brim or raft for bed grip. • The funnel capitals may want light supports under the flare depending on your orientation. • Resin gives the crispest capitals at small scale; FDM works if you thicken the shafts slightly. • Print a couple of test columns first to nail the height and stem diameter for your model.
