Description
An ornamental valance run with scalloped arches and little ball drops. This long horizontal strip has a flat top rail and an underside cut into a series of graceful arched scallops, with small spheres hanging like beaded pendants at the low points. One end tapers off in a soft scroll while the other carries stepped bracket-like details — the profile of a decorative cornice, pelmet or shelf fascia rather than a figure. It is the sort of trim that dresses the top edge of something: a run above a window or doorway in a dollhouse or model building, a fascia along a shelf or cabinet, a canopy edge on tabletop terrain, or a repeating architectural band in a diorama. Line several up end to end and the arches march into a continuous rhythm. The forms are rounded and generous, so it reads well even at small scale and takes paint and washes nicely. Print notes • Print with the flat top rail on the bed and the arches hanging downward, so the scallops and ball drops form as clean overhangs — a brim of support under the spheres helps if you see sag. • Alternatively lay it on its back face if the model has a flat rear, eliminating supports entirely. • 0.12–0.16mm layers keep the arch curves smooth; a light sand along the top edge readies it for gluing. • For repeat runs, print two or three copies and butt the plain ends together for a seamless band.
