Corps Batiment

A stackable slice of a grand facade, wired from the inside to glow. "Corps Batiment" translates as the body of a building, and that's exactly what this is: a modular architectural block forming one storey of an ornate structure. The render shows a square hollow shell crowned by a heavy rolled cornice and topped with a crenellated parapet, its walls carrying stepped, brick-coursed pilasters at the corners. The bundle is a full kit of sub-parts — window surrounds, side casings, a mullion, a door, a floor-plus-roof junction and, tellingly, a dedicated LED support — so lighting sits neatly inside the cavity and washes out through the openings. It's built for modellers: a lit centrepiece for a diorama, a scenery block for tabletop terrain, or a standalone illuminated building ornament for a shelf or mantel. Print notes • Print the main shell upright so the walls and parapet rise cleanly; the wide open base means little or no support inside. • Run the window frames, mullion and door as separate flat prints for crisp edges, then glue into their recesses. • Leave the interior unpainted-light or line it with foil to bounce the LED; thread the strip through the printed support before closing the roof junction. • Prime, then dry-brush stonework tones over a dark base to pop the brick coursing and cornice mouldings. Because it's modular, storeys stack to build taller towers, and the separate roof-junction part lets you cap the top cleanly. A satisfying build for scenery-makers who like their buildings to light up.
