Description
A stout brick tower, straight-sided and ready to garrison. Despite the abstract title, the model is unmistakable: a hollow cylindrical shaft laid up in staggered courses of brick, tapering very slightly toward an open top like a round chimney, silo or bastion turret. The brickwork wraps fully around with a convincing running bond, and there is a small square opening part way up that reads as a loophole or vent. Shown here in solid blue, it is a piece of scenery waiting for paint. It is aimed at terrain builders and diorama makers, tabletop wargamers, and model-railway layouts wanting an industrial or fortress accent. Cap it as a factory chimney, stand it as a medieval round tower, or cluster several as a ruined wall complex. Print notes • Prints upright straight off the bed; being hollow it uses little material and needs no supports. • The single side opening bridges fine at normal speeds; slow the outer wall for the sharpest brick edges. • Vase mode is tempting but keep at least two perimeters so the mortar lines stay crisp. • Scale to your gauge, then a terracotta base coat with a grey mortar drybrush and a brown wash brings the courses to life.
