Description

A clean cylindrical drum — the left body-half of a turret assembly. The render is deliberately plain: a smooth-walled open cylinder with a recessed inner lip, its walls a consistent thickness top to bottom. No panel lines or greebles are modelled in, which marks this out as a core structural component ("corps tourelle gauche") from a larger sectioned build rather than a finished display piece. Think of it as the base ring you dress up — a turret housing for a scratch-built tank, a rotating tower for a diorama, a barrel body for a sci-fi prop, or simply a sturdy tube in a modular kit. Its whole value is in being a true, round, paint-ready blank. Print notes • Stand it upright on the open end; the geometry is entirely support-free that way and the walls come out dead straight. • Vase/spiral mode works if you only need a light single-wall shell; otherwise 3–4 perimeters give it rigidity for gluing to other parts. • Resin captures the crisp inner lip if this mates to another component — check the fit tolerance and sand the join face flat. • Prime before painting; on FDM a quick pass of filler-primer hides layer lines on the curved wall.
