Description
A hollow turret shell, built to lock into a bigger build. Despite the fan-art label this is really a functional component: an open-topped cylindrical body - an upper turret or housing section - with smooth outer walls and a set of built-in details on the inside face. You can see integrated locating pegs standing proud of the wall and a keyed slot cut through the side, the tell-tale signs of a part designed to register and clip onto matching pieces rather than stand alone. It suits anyone rebuilding or scratch-modding a model, prop or mechanism that needs this ring-shaped shell: a tank or robot turret housing, a lamp or speaker collar, a replacement casing in a multi-part assembly. Print notes: • Stand it open-end up and print the walls without supports - the vertical cylinder comes out cleanly. • The pegs and slot are tolerance-critical: print a test ring first and tune your horizontal expansion and flow so mating parts click without forcing. • Three or more perimeters give the thin wall real strength; bump infill around the peg roots so they do not shear off during assembly. • Sand the outer curve lightly if you plan to paint or glue it into a visible position. A utilitarian piece - not a display model, but the kind of accurate shell that makes a repair or kitbash actually fit together.
