Cover Base

Every lamp build needs the unglamorous part at the bottom, and that is what this is — a base cover, the piece that meets the desk or the sideboard and gives the assembly something to stand on. It is the foot of a lamp rather than the decorative element, drawn with straight, quiet lines so it stays out of the argument and lets whatever sits above it do the talking. Useful if you are putting a lamp together from parts, swapping out a base you never liked, or building a fixture around components you already own.
