Creneau Haut (2)

A single crisp building block from a modular fortress, the crown of the wall. The French name gives it away: *creneau haut* means the upper crenel, the topmost course of a battlement. This is that architectural cap piece, a smooth, glossy wedge with a bull-nosed rounded front lip that rolls over and tapers back to a squared block, so it seats neatly as the finishing crest along a parapet or wall-walk. There is no surface ornament; its job is clean geometry, and it reads as one tile in a larger kit-bashed castle, keep or coping run. Use it to cap merlons on a display fortress, as a coping stone on a scale wall, or as a repeatable module in an architectural or garden-feature build. Print notes: • The rounded overhanging lip is the only tricky face; print with the flat back down and add light supports under the curl, or stand the piece on end to sidestep supports entirely. • FDM in PLA is fine for architectural massing, and a 0.2mm layer height keeps the curve smooth. • Print several and dry-fit before gluing a full run, as modular caps look best with consistent spacing. • Fill and sand the rounded edge, then paint in weathered stone greys for a convincing masonry finish.
