Description

A straight run of castle battlements — merlons and gaps, ready to man the walls. "Créneaux droits" is French for straight crenellations, and that is exactly what this is: a rectangular wall section with a row of square-topped merlons standing along one edge, the open crenel gaps between them, and one end finished with a small rounded return. Modelled clean and blocky with flat faces, it's built as a modular terrain segment rather than a detailed sculpt. It's aimed at tabletop wargamers and diorama builders — snap or glue several lengths together to wall off a keep, a gatehouse or a fortified town for 28mm skirmish games, or use single pieces as bookends, shelf edging or the base for a castle model. The plain surfaces are a blank slate for added stone texture, weathering paint or flock. Print notes: • Prints fast and support-free: stand it on its base, walls up, and the merlons come out clean with no overhangs. • FDM at 0.2mm is plenty for terrain; drop to 0.12mm only if you want crisper merlon edges. • Print several and dry-fit before gluing so corners and straights line up into a continuous rampart. • Prime grey, dry-brush lighter greys over a black wash, and the flat blocks instantly read as weathered stone.
