Creneaux Rampe

A battlement ramp built for tiny sieges. The blue model is a crenellated stairway section: three blocky tiers step down in a descending run while the outer edge sweeps away in a smooth curved slope, and the top carries notched merlon-and-crenel cuts like a castle wall walk. The French name, creneaux rampe, literally reads crenellations and ramp, and the geometry matches, an angled access rail or stepped ramp for a fortification. It is a terrain and scenery piece rather than a figure, ideal for tabletop wargaming boards, dungeon layouts, dioramas or a modular castle build where troops need a defensible slope to climb. It slots naturally against wall sections and towers of a matching scale. Print notes: • FDM handles this well; orient the flat back or underside to the bed so the stepped treads print upward cleanly and support-free. • The curved outer slope may want light supports depending on angle, so preview overhangs before slicing. • Print in grey or stone filament and add texture paint, drybrushing and washes to sell the masonry. • Chunky walls mean you can drop infill to 10-15 percent and still get a sturdy, gameable piece. Batch several to line a full rampart, or scale to suit 28mm, 15mm or scenic display use.
