Culot Campanile

A faceted little vessel with an architect's sense of geometry. Modelled as a crisp octagon, this piece tapers from a broad, chamfered top rim down through eight flat panels to a neatly stepped foot — the silhouette of a squat pot or a bell-tower base ('campanile') rendered in bold, low-poly facets. The lid sits proud of the body on a bevelled collar and is pierced with a ring of small round holes around a central bore, so it reads as a socketed cap or a shaker-style top rather than a sealed lid. Depending on scale it works as a chunky planter for a single succulent, a desk caddy for pens and odds, a candle surround, or the decorative base ('culot') for a lamp or a diorama column. The heavy octagonal geometry suits a matte, architectural paint finish. Print notes • Print the body upright on its flat foot — the octagon is inherently stable and needs no raft. • The overhanging top rim may want a few light supports, or angle the part slightly to print the underside cleanly. • Vase mode / spiralised walls suit the plain panels for a fast planter; add a drainage hole for live plants. • FDM shows the facets crisply; a low layer height keeps the eight edges razor-sharp.
