The wizarding world's most quietly ominous symbol, a triangle enclosing a circle and split by a single vertical line, worked into a lamp for a bookshelf or a bedside table. Standing upright it reads as a silhouette by day and as a glowing outline once the room goes dark, which is the argument for building the emblem as a light rather than as a flat plaque. Each of the three marks stands for one of the objects in the story, and the assembled sign carries a good deal more weight than its geometry suggests. Lit in the corner of a reading nook, a home office or a bedroom where the books have already been read three times, it is a subtler nod than a poster.
