A smooth crowning cap for a castle wall's battlements. The name, French for 'top of the crenels', points to its job: a rounded coping piece that sits over the toothed parapet of a modular fortress, softening the square merlons with a gently profiled, pillow-like top. The form is deliberately simple, a rounded rectangular block with softly radiused ends and a shallow wave scooped into one long edge. As terrain, it caps a wall run so the crenellations read as finished stonework rather than bare-cut blocks; a row of them gives a keep or gatehouse a clean, weighty silhouette. It is shown here as a plain solid, so treat the exact fit as something to check against your own wall modules. Print notes • Prints upright with no supports, being an unbroken convex form. • Low infill is plenty; this is a lightweight capping piece, not a load-bearer. • Texture it before painting: stipple on stone grain or a thin filler wash, then drybrush grey over a dark base for aged masonry. • Print a batch and line them along a wall section, keeping the length modular so they tile end to end. • Rescale to match whatever wall thickness your terrain system uses.
