Dessus Creneaux

A smooth, wave-crested capping piece that looks like a frozen ripple set in solid form. The preview shows a single continuous solid with a gently rising-and-falling top edge: one shoulder lifts, the surface dips through a shallow trough, then swells again toward a rounded tail. Rendered in glossy royal blue, every edge is softened and radiused rather than machined sharp, giving it the character of a moulded coping or crest instead of a plain block. The name 'Dessus Creneaux' (French for the top of a wall's battlement or crenellation) points at its job: a decorative topper that runs along the upper edge of a wall, parapet or model rampart. Because it is a clean, closed solid with no fine surface detail, it prints easily and scales without fuss. That makes it handy for capping a run of miniature castle wall, dressing a garden feature, or producing a repeatable coping profile that butts together end-to-end. Print notes • Lay it flat on the broad underside for a support-free print and the strongest bond along its length. • The rounded top sands and finishes beautifully; a stone or slate paint effect sells the carved-coping look. • Scale the length to match your wall run. The profile stays consistent, so repeated copies line up cleanly. • PLA or resin both suit it; resin gives the crispest radiused edges at small sizes.
