Encadrement Porte

Classic architecture, boiled down to one clean bracket. Despite the "fan art" label, this is an architectural corbel — the kind of scrolled support that sits under a shelf, mantel, or door and cornice surround. The profile does the talking: a tall vertical back plate steps down through a run of blocky, dentil-like offsets on one edge, while the front sweeps out in a long concave scroll that flares to a flat top ledge. It's a decisive, geometric take on a corbel rather than a fussy carved one. Use it as a shelf bracket, a valance end for a door or window frame ("encadrement de porte"), or a repeating element in a piece of built-in joinery — mirror it left and right for a matched pair. Making notes: • This shape is tailor-made for CNC routing from timber or MDF: the flat back registers easily against the bed, and the stepped edge cuts cleanly with a straight bit. Machine the concave sweep with a ballnose for a smooth curve. • Printing instead? Lay it on the flat back face so the whole profile prints support-free with strong layer adhesion for a load-bearing part. • Bump the wall/infill up if it will actually carry weight rather than just decorate. • Fill, prime, and paint to match trim, or leave the routed grain and oil it.
