Entree Haut

The name is French and translates roughly as the upper entrance, which tells you where this sits in the build it belongs to: the way in, at the top of the approach, rather than a stretch of wall or a roof section. Entrance pieces do a lot of work in fan-built displays. They are what a viewer looks at first, they set the scale of everything standing behind them, and they give a diorama its focal point. Collectors assembling a themed shelf often start at the gateway and work backwards from there. It arrives as a multi-part kit, which suits a subject of this kind — sections are easier to arrange on a build plate, and easier to reach with a brush before anything is brought together.
