Fenestrou

A silent stone gateway waiting for someone to step through. This model is a freestanding portal frame: two heavy pillars carrying a thick lintel across the top and a raised threshold along the base, with stepped capitals and plinth blocks where the uprights meet the crossbeams. The proportions are tall and narrow, and the opening runs the full height between the jambs, so it reads as a doorway or fog-gate rather than a solid wall section. The rendered geometry is clean and blocky, with crisp chamfered edges that will paint up beautifully as weathered granite or mossy castle stone. It is built for tabletop and display use. Set it at the edge of a skirmish board as an objective, frame the entrance to a dungeon corridor, or use it as a scenic archway for 28-32mm miniatures to march beneath. On a shelf it also works as a standalone diorama gateway or a photo-staging arch for painted figures. Print notes • Prints upright with almost no support; the lintel spans a short gap and bridges cleanly on most machines. • PLA or resin both suit it; resin gives sharper edges on the stepped capitals. • Lay it flat on the back face if you want a perfectly smooth front and don't mind supporting the threshold. • A rough drybrush over a dark base coat brings out the block joints and sells the aged-stone look. Scale it up for a doorway centrepiece or down for a gaming board; the flat back means it sits neatly against a wall or terrain piece.
