A slender Gothic window, arched to a point — one small piece of a castle you can build yourself. The model is a lancet window frame: a tall opening rising to a sharp pointed arch, split down the middle by a single mullion so it reads as two narrow lights beneath the point. The profile is clean and chunky — solid frame, hollow openings — rendered here in a deep royal blue. There's no glazing or tracery beyond the central bar, which keeps it crisp and easy to print and glaze yourself. It's aimed at makers building castles, churches, chapels, dollhouses and fantasy dioramas, or anyone who wants a single decorative Gothic window to back with acetate, tissue or coloured film. Drop it into a foamboard wall, a resin build or a display base. Print notes: • Print flat on its back face for the strongest frame and zero supports; the openings bridge fine at this size. • FDM in PLA works well; for the sharpest arch edge and mullion, resin at a fine layer height is worth it. • Scale to suit your build — dollhouse 1:12, tabletop 28mm, or model-railway scales all work from the same file. • Paint as stone or timber, then back the two lights with printed "stained glass" for a lit effect.
