Description
A slender Gothic arch — French for 'window' and shaped like a chapel in miniature. The piece is a tall pointed lancet arch rising from a solid plinth, with a narrow inner reveal, a moulded sill or seat at its base and a small carved quatrefoil set into the front of the pedestal. Rendered here in bold blue, its clean profile and single ogival opening give it the feel of a cathedral window, a shrine niche or a decorative alcove. It's a versatile architectural prop: a window or doorway for a dollhouse or model building, a display niche for a small figurine, a diorama and terrain feature for tabletop scenery, or a standalone Gothic ornament. The recessed opening happily frames an LED candle, a miniature or a keepsake. Print notes • Print it standing upright on the plinth for the strongest arch; the pointed apex is self-supporting, though a little support helps the underside of the sill. • The quatrefoil on the base is the finest detail — 0.12–0.16 mm layers keep its lobes crisp. • Walls are slim at the top of the arch, so 3+ perimeters stop the point feeling fragile. • Prints clean in PLA; for an aged-stone look, prime grey and drybrush white over a dark wash to sink shadow into the arch reveal and the carved motif.
