Fist Lamp

A clenched hand rendered as a light. The raised fist is one of the most legible shapes going, carrying defiance, solidarity and sheer effort all at once, and it survives being scaled up into a lamp body because the outline alone does the talking. It belongs in rooms that already lean sculptural: a studio, a workshop bench, a shelf of hard-edged objects rather than soft furnishings. Lit from within, the knuckles and tendon lines take on shadow, and the whole thing reads as a small sculpture that happens to glow rather than a novelty shade on a stand. Figure lamps make straightforward gifts too, the sort of thing bought for someone with a home gym, a wall of band posters or a stubborn streak. Print it modestly for a bedside corner, or scale it up until it becomes the object visitors ask about.
