A smooth, saddle-backed foundation slab built to anchor a run of castle battlements. This piece — its name French for "battlement base" — is the groundwork tile of a modular fortification set: a low rectangular platform with softly rounded end caps and a gently dished top that cradles the wall section seated above it. There is no surface ornament here, and that is the point; it is the structural floor that keeps a crenellated rampart standing straight and swappable on the tabletop. Terrain builders and wargamers use it as the repeatable base course beneath towers, gatehouses and curtain walls, letting you reconfigure a keep between games without gluing everything down. The concave upper channel doubles as a locating guide, so stacked wall pieces sit flush instead of drifting. Print notes: • Lay it flat on the bed exactly as shown — the footprint is the natural base, so you will need zero supports. • PLA or PETG at 0.2mm is plenty; this is a load-bearing part, so run 4+ walls and around 20% infill for rigidity. • Add a couple of magnet pockets to the end lips before slicing if you want the wall courses to snap together. • A quick pass of grey primer and drybrushed stone tones turns the bare form into weathered masonry.
