Doña Florinda is the one resident of the vecindad in El Chavo del Ocho that nobody wants to cross: the widow in the housecoat, hair pinned up, entirely unshakeable in her belief that her Quico is an angel and every other child in the courtyard is a menace. The sweet voice, the sudden slap aimed at Don Ramón, the flounce back indoors, all of it still gets quoted across Latin America decades after the fact. Rendered in the stubby collector-figure style, mostly head with a small body beneath, she reads immediately to anyone who grew up with the show. This is a nostalgia piece before it is anything else, whether as a shelf figure, a gift for a parent or grandparent, or the first of a set of the courtyard's residents. Fan-made rather than licensed, for collectors who would rather print their own.
