Iron Giant Modified Files

Animation has produced few better machines than the Iron Giant: a towering metal man from somewhere off-world, all riveted plating, hunched shoulders and a wide plate of a face with two lamp-like eyes. What makes the design stick is the contrast between industrial bulk and an almost childlike posture, head pushed slightly forward, arms hanging loose, curious rather than threatening. This is a modified take on that silhouette, prepared as a multi-part kit for collectors who want the robot at proper display scale rather than as a desk trinket. The blocky panelled construction gives plenty for a painter to work with if you want to chase the salvage-yard look of the film, and it stands up perfectly well built straight. A shelf piece for animation fans, robot collectors, and anyone who grew up with the 1999 film.
