Lamp Holder

A shade form for a small domestic light, tapered and open-ended, built to stand around a light source and turn bare glare into something you can comfortably sit beneath. The walls are the whole design here: the pattern a lamp like this throws onto a nearby wall matters as much as the object itself when the room goes dark. It is a bedside and side-table piece first, the lamp that belongs on a nightstand, a hallway shelf or a deep windowsill, with geometry plain enough not to argue with the furniture around it. Made as a single-piece print, it is a common rescue project for a lamp base that lost its shade years ago, or for anyone who wants a bare fitting to look deliberate. As with any printed lighting, build it around a cool-running LED source.
