Description

A pocket-sized lantern with a pointed roof and a glowing porthole. Rendered here as a solid blue study model, this design is a compact square-bodied lantern: four flat walls rise to a neat hipped, pyramid-style roof topped with a round ball finial. One face carries a circular window cut clean through the wall, and each side sweeps up from the ground on a gentle gothic arch, leaving four little corner feet. It is simple, architectural and quietly charming - a world away from the character bust its listing suggests. The hollow body and open porthole make it a natural home for a flickering LED tealight: set one inside and light spills through the round window and the arched feet, throwing soft shapes onto a shelf, windowsill or dinner table. It also works as a miniature architectural ornament, a dolls-house lantern or a tabletop-game scenery piece. Print notes • Print base-down with no supports; the arched cut-outs bridge easily, though a brim helps the small feet grip the bed. • Translucent or white filament lets the most light through - try 2-3 perimeters, or vase mode for a single glowing wall. • Keep it to a real LED tealight, never a live flame, since printed plastic will melt and burn. • Scale it up for a patio lantern or down for a shelf trinket; the ball finial can be printed separately and glued for a crisper sphere. Left plain it reads as clean modern decor; painted in weathered metal tones it passes for an old storm lantern.
