Description

A pocket-sized lantern reduced to its cleanest, most graphic silhouette. This is a simple stylised lantern modelled in bold, low-poly forms. A square body rises to a four-sided pyramidal roof topped with a round finial ball; a circular porthole window is cut through one face, and the base is lifted on four little arched cutouts that read like feet or gothic arcading. There is no fussy filigree here — just crisp planes and clean geometry, which is exactly what makes it versatile. It suits a lot of jobs: a tabletop terrain prop for fantasy or village scenes, a tealight or LED-candle housing, a desk ornament, or a template you paint and weather into stone, iron or brass. Printed small it becomes wargame scatter; printed large it stands as a decorative object in its own right. Print notes • The pyramidal roof prints support-free thanks to its self-supporting angles; the side porthole may want a couple of light supports if bridged, or leave it as a clean overhang at fine layers. • Print upright on the flat base for the truest arches. • If you plan to drop in an LED, hollow or scale a wall thickness of 1.5-2mm so the glow reads through the porthole. • FDM handles this shape happily; a matte grey or stone filament plus a dark wash instantly sells the masonry look. Simple to slice, quick to print, and easy to multiply into a matching set of lamps.
