Mm Mouth

A soft, sculptural curve that reads like a full lower lip caught mid-pout. There is almost nothing hard about this little piece: a smooth glossy dome swells gently at the back, tapers to a rounded point at one end, and scoops into a shallow hollow along the underside. Every edge is filleted, the surface catches the light in one clean highlight, and the silhouette sits somewhere between a plump mouth, a smoothed river pebble and a stylised organic form. Filed under fan art, it works either as a minimalist character mouth or expression part destined for a larger bust, or on its own as a quietly odd desk sculpture that people can't quite name. Because the geometry is fully closed and free of fine detail, it prints forgivingly and gives you room to play with finish and colour rather than fighting overhangs. Print notes • Seat the flat, hollow side on the bed so the domed top rises support-free; the underside scoop bridges cleanly at around 45 degrees. • A terracotta, coral or lip-pink filament flatters the rounded form; matte PLA hides layer lines better than a glossy one. • Slice the curved top at 0.12–0.16 mm for a smooth sheen, and give it a quick sand-and-prime pass if you intend to paint or gloss-coat it. • Scales up happily into a palm-sized paperweight or down to a keyring charm without losing its shape.
