A roly-poly bearded fellow with a beard you could lose your keys in. Shown reclined in the render, this is a stout, stylised character figure — a big rounded head, a small pointed nose and a magnificent flowing beard that spills right down over a barrel chest. Arms fold in tight, the legs are short and chunky, and the whole thing rests on a pair of oversized rounded boots. The exaggerated proportions and smooth, cartoonish surfacing give it a warm, gnome-or-dwarf-like charm rather than realism. Print notes • The render lies on its side, but print it standing on the boots for the strongest, most stable result — the flat soles give a broad first layer. • Resin will do justice to the beard grooves and facial detail; on FDM, a 0.12mm layer height keeps the whiskers from blurring. • Expect supports under the folded arms and the beard overhang; slice them off cleanly before painting. • Prime in grey first — the deep beard recesses take a wash wonderfully and instantly add depth.
