Palm Lamp

Palm-frond lighting has a long pedigree: the brass palm lamps that came out of mid-century French decorating houses, the rattan versions that followed in the seventies, and every tropical revival since. Here that idea is taken into a printable shade, with leaves fanning out and overlapping around a central stem so the light breaks up between the fronds instead of spilling out in one flat wash. It behaves like a mood piece rather than a working task light. On a sideboard, a bedside table or a shelf in a corner that needs warming up, it scatters leaf shapes across the wall behind it and gives a room something to look at after dark. Switched off it still earns the space, because the fronds hold up as a sculptural object in daylight rather than sitting there waiting for a bulb.
