A neat little surround that turns a badge, coin or snapshot into a finished object. The render shows a compact frame with softly rounded corners and a gently domed outer face, its centre dropped into a clean recessed well that's ready to seat whatever you want to show off. There's no ornament here at all — just a confident radius running the whole way round the rim and a shallow step down to the display floor. Seen from the side you can read how thin and light the wall is, which makes for a fast, easy print that still reads as a solid moulded piece once it's off the bed. It suits makers who want a tidy mount for a resin cameo, an enamel pin, a challenge coin, a printed portrait or a small relief tile — anything that benefits from a defined edge. Stand it on a shelf, prop it on a desk, or bond a magnet to the back for the fridge or a locker door. Print notes • Print face-down on the recessed side for the crispest front rim; no supports are needed in that orientation. • A 0.12 mm layer height keeps the rounded edge looking moulded rather than stepped. • Scale it in X/Y to match whatever insert you're framing before you slice. • Matte grey or off-white filament reads best; a light sand and a coat of primer give it a cast-plaster look.
