A square pier crowned with a proud polished sphere. "Pilier" is French for pillar, and this is a clean architectural one: a stepped square plinth at the base, a tall smooth shaft, a flared cornice cap, and a rounded ball finial sitting on top like a full stop. The proportions are classic gatepost — the sort of pier that flanks a driveway entrance or bookends a garden wall — rendered here as a crisp, hard-edged solid ready to scale to whatever job you have. Use it as a pair of scenery gateposts on a tabletop, a display pedestal to lift a small figure or trophy, a newel-post cap for a model staircase, or a repeated element along a miniature balustrade. Printed large, it reads as a smart plinth for a candle or a plant. Print notes: • Stands upright with no supports; the ball finial may want a few if you skip a raft, or print the sphere separately and pin it on. • The broad flat plinth grips the bed well — a brim helps on the first layer for tall prints. • Slice at 0.2mm for terrain; drop to 0.12mm if the smooth shaft will be seen up close. • Mirror and duplicate for a matched pair of gate piers. A simple, versatile building block that quietly upgrades a scene or props up a display.
