A little monument with a big, ball-topped presence. This is a classical pedestal pillar: a square shaft rising from a broad two-step base, crowned with a projecting square cap and finished with a smooth sphere finial perched on top. The proportions are chunky and architectural — think gate post, boundary marker, or the newel of a grand staircase, rendered here in clean blue. Scaled up it's a garden or driveway post cap; scaled down it becomes scenery — a park bollard, a cemetery marker, a plinth for a bust, or a repeating element along a model wall or balustrade. Print notes: • Stand it upright on the base for the strongest first layer and the cleanest shaft faces. • The sphere's lower hemisphere overhangs the cap slightly — a few light supports or a small raft under the ball keeps it tidy; alternatively print the sphere separately and pin it on. • Hollow the shaft with a couple of perimeters to save filament on larger prints. • Prints happily in FDM; resin gives the crispest edges on the cap and base steps for display quality. Batch several to line a path or fence in a diorama, or print one large as a solid, weighty ornament. A simple, versatile bit of architecture.
