Description
A crisp little post-and-ball finial, stripped back to pure geometry. The model is a square pedestal — capped top and bottom with a projecting slab — carrying a short domed neck and a smooth sphere sitting on top. No carving, no fuss: just clean planes and one perfect ball, shown here in a solid blue preview. Read it as a gate-pier cap, a newel-post topper, a fence-post finial, or a miniature plinth for showing off a ring, coin or crystal. The plain faces also make it a friendly base to customise — engrave a monogram or number on the shaft, or scale it up into a garden bollard. Because the geometry is so simple, this one prints fast and reliably. Print notes • Stand it on the base slab; the wide footprint means no supports for the column. • The sphere is the only real overhang — a few tree supports under its lower half, or print the ball separately and pin it on for a flawless top. • PLA is fine for indoor decor; switch to PETG or resin if it is living outdoors on a post. • The flat top and bottom faces make it easy to glue, weight down, or bolt in place.
