Plakit Sonic

Sega's hedgehog mascot has been the face of the company for decades, and he carries a silhouette that survives any amount of stylisation: the swept-back spines, the outsized trainers, the cocky stance of a character whose entire personality is that he is faster than you. This is that character rendered as a display figure. The "plakit" in the name points at the plastic-model-kit tradition it borrows from, the Japanese approach where a character comes apart into components and goes together as a build rather than arriving finished. It is a multi-part kit, so there is a proper assembly session in it, and the seams between sections give a painter natural places to work. It suits a games-room shelf, a desk at work, or a collection of gaming figures that has room for one more familiar face.
