Rambarde Fer (3)

A tidy run of iron railing — a heavy top cap, a base rail, and a row of upright spindles. True to its French name (rambarde fer, "iron railing"), this is a short modular section of balustrade. A thick rectangular top rail forms the cap, a matching base rail runs along the bottom, and between them stand a row of slim cylindrical balusters spaced evenly, closed off by solid end posts. It is clean and utilitarian — the sort of fence you line a balcony, porch, staircase or bridge with — modelled as a repeatable unit rather than a one-off. That makes it ideal for scale scenery: model railway layouts (OO/HO/N), dollhouses, dioramas, wargaming and D&D terrain, and architectural mock-ups where you need a length of period railing you can tile end to end. Print notes: • The section is designed to repeat — print several and butt the end posts together to build a continuous run of any length. • Print it standing upright on the base rail; the top cap acts as a natural bridge, keeping supports to a minimum on the slender spindles. • Resin gives the crispest, most scale-accurate spindles; on FDM, bump line width / wall count so the thin balusters print solid and don't turn stringy. • Scale to your gauge (1:148, 1:87, 1:76, 1:48) before slicing, and prime with a metal-effect paint to sell the wrought-iron look.
