A tidy run of railing, rendered here in bold blue and ready to drop straight into a scene. This is a self-contained balustrade section: a chunky top rail and matching base rail bridged by seven evenly spaced, gently rounded spindles. The proportions are sturdy rather than delicate — it reads like the guard rail of a balcony, a pier, a ship's deck or a grand staircase landing. Printed in a row, several of these lengths clip together into a continuous run. It's a scenery and model-making part first and foremost: think dioramas, dollhouses, model railways, tabletop terrain and architectural mock-ups, wherever you need a believable barrier at the edge of a raised level. Making notes • Small and detail-heavy, so resin gives the cleanest spindles; FDM works at larger scales with a fine nozzle. • Lay it on its back (rail face up) to print the spindles without bridging, or stand it and add light supports between the bars. • Leave a little flat tab at each end if you plan to butt sections together — easy to trim, easy to glue. • Primes and paints readily as wrought iron, weathered timber or fresh gloss, depending on your setting. A humble part that quietly sells the realism of a whole build.
