Rambarde fer, a curved iron railing rendered for the model bench. This is a sweeping section of balustrade that arcs through roughly a quarter-turn, exactly the kind of railing you would find edging a balcony, a curved staircase landing or a raised walkway. A slim top rail and matching bottom rail run parallel around the curve, tied together by a run of evenly spaced vertical balusters, and the piece finishes at one end in a stouter squared newel post that grounds it. Far from full-size ironwork, it is built as a scale scenery component. It drops straight into architectural models, railway and wargame layouts, dollhouse and roombox builds, dioramas and display bases, anywhere you need a believable metal handrail following a curve rather than a straight run. Painted gloss black or verdigris it reads instantly as wrought iron. Print notes: • The thin balusters are the delicate part; orient the piece so the rails run roughly along the build plate and the uprights stand clear, minimising bridging. • Resin captures the crisp square section best, but FDM works at larger scales with a fine nozzle and slow perimeter speed. • Print a test section first and confirm the radius matches your building or stair curve before committing to the full run. • Clean flash from between the balusters with a hobby knife, then prime; metallic or satin-black paint sells the iron look.
