Description
A tidy run of railing, ready for any little world. This model is a straight balustrade section — two flat horizontal rails, top and bottom, joined by a row of evenly spaced cylindrical spindles. It is clean, simple and architectural, shown here in bright blue, with squared-off rail ends made to butt neatly against the next panel in a run. Model-makers will find dozens of homes for it: railway layouts, dockside and bridge dioramas, dollhouse balconies, wargaming rooftops, or fencing along a scenic base. Line several end to end for a long balcony, or cut one down for a short guard rail. Print notes: • Print it flat on its back so the rails and every spindle lie on the bed — this avoids supports entirely and keeps the thin balusters straight. • Resin is ideal for crisp, delicate spindles at small scales; on FDM, thicken the balusters slightly or drop to a 0.3mm nozzle for reliability. • Tile multiple copies across the plate to build long runs, and sand the mating ends flat for tight joins. • Scale it to your gauge or dollhouse ratio before slicing, and glue it to a base rail for extra rigidity.
