Description
A drooping, creased conical hat carries two stories at once: the slouched cap Father Christmas has worn since the Victorians got hold of him, and the battered talking headgear of a certain wizarding school. Mashing the two together gives a shape that is festive and faintly mischievous in the same glance, and it makes a natural little lamp. This is a seasonal piece rather than household lighting, the sort of object that comes out onto a mantelpiece, a hall table or a desk for December and goes back in the box in January. It is supplied across two files. Good for a Christmas market stall, a secret santa, or simply for adding one more home-made thing to a set of decorations that already has too much shop-bought plastic in it.
