Description
Shoji screens have been diffusing light in Japanese interiors for centuries: a fine timber lattice, a translucent panel behind it, and soft even light instead of a hard point source. This lamp borrows that language directly and translates the grid-and-panel geometry into a small table piece. The design is built around a puck-style LED rather than mains wiring, which puts it in the category of quiet, low-commitment lighting — a shelf, a hallway, a bedside table, the dark corner of a desk. It suits minimalist and Japandi rooms, and sits comfortably among plants, pale timber and ceramics. Numbered as the first of a series, it comes as a multi-part kit, so there is a little assembly involved before it earns its spot in the room.
