Sous Toiture Gauche

A tidy little grooved ring that's all function, no fuss. The French label "sous toiture gauche" (under-roof, left) and the Fan Art tag are misleading — the image shows a small mechanical component, not a figure. It's a short cylindrical ring rendered in solid blue: an open bore through the middle, a raised inner lip or seat on top, and a rounded channel groove running around the outer wall, the classic profile of a grommet, bushing, cable pass-through or seal seat that snaps into a panel hole. This is a replacement or spare part rather than a decorative print — the kind of thing you make to fix a rig, a scale build, an enclosure or a piece of kit where the original bushing has cracked or gone missing. Print notes • Match the real part first: measure the bore, groove diameter and overall height so it seats in its hole, then scale the model to suit before slicing. • Print flat, bore vertical, so the groove forms cleanly with no supports inside the ring. • For a snap-fit or sealing job, TPU/flexible filament mimics the original rubber grommet; for a rigid bushing use PETG or ABS for wear resistance. • Bump perimeters to 3–4 and use 40%+ infill so the ring holds its shape under a press-fit load.
