Description

A machine-age lamp built from a stack of turned parts — the kit's cylindrical barrel is the section shown here. The download is a multi-part steampunk lamp (the files read "lampada meccanica," mechanical lamp): eight STL components that assemble into one industrial light. The preview shows a core piece — a smooth hollow tube with an open bore down the middle, the kind of sleeve that sockets over a bulb holder or joins the lamp's stacked sections. Built up, the set delivers the pipe-and-gear look the title promises. It suits home-decor printers and steampunk fans making a table or desk lamp, a bedside ambient light, or a shelf accent with a warm evening glow. Print notes • Most parts, this barrel included, print upright with the bore vertical — no supports on the straight walls, and the vertical seam hides inside the assembly. • Use PLA or PETG; PETG is the safer choice for any part sitting near a bulb, and always pair the lamp with a cool LED, never a hot incandescent, since printed plastic and heat don't mix. • Print any shade sections in a warm translucent or white filament with thin walls (2–3 perimeters) so light diffuses softly; solid barrels can stay opaque. • Dry-fit all eight pieces before gluing, and leave a channel through the base for the cable and switch.
