STL Lamp

Give it a rub and make a wish — the classic genie's oil lamp. This is the storybook Aladdin lamp in three dimensions: a low, teardrop-shaped body that swells at the belly and draws out into a long, elegantly tapering spout, balanced by a handle that curls into a tight scroll at the back. A domed lid sits at the centre, topped with a slim pointed finial, and the whole vessel rests on a turned, footed pedestal. Modelled with smooth, flowing surfaces and shown here in deep blue, it captures that unmistakable "three wishes" silhouette. It makes a charming display piece for a fantasy or film fan, a photo-shoot or party prop, or — hollowed and lidded — a whimsical trinket vessel or incense holder on a shelf. Print notes: • Orient the body with the spout angled up and add supports beneath the spout tip and the curl of the handle, where the overhangs are steepest. • The lid is best printed separately so it seats cleanly and can lift off. • Those broad curved surfaces reward a fine layer height; a light sand and a metallic brass or bronze paint sells the antique-lamp look convincingly. • Scale up for a bold mantel ornament or down for a keyring-sized charm.
